Ads API and measurement
Advertising integrations that connect operations to outcomes.
SEOLinked scopes and implements secure campaign-management, reporting, conversion measurement, CRM, and ecommerce workflows for eligible ChatGPT advertiser accounts.
A marketing page is not an integration. Live implementation requires the client’s account, approved access, credentials, data decisions, and test scope.
A simple operating model
Connect the systems without giving away control.
The secure integration layer translates approved business actions into platform requests, receives results, and sends non-sensitive decision data to reporting.
Integration services
Business outcomes first. Technical detail second.
Each integration starts with the decision or operational friction it should improve, then defines the minimum secure implementation required.
Campaign operations
Create or update approved campaigns, ad groups, ads, budgets, schedules, destinations, context hints, and supported targeting through controlled workflows.
Reporting workflows
Retrieve supported performance and conversion data, normalise it for the agreed reporting layer, and retain the limits and source context.
Conversion measurement
Design and implement browser Pixel and server-side Conversions API events, including consent behaviour, matching, validation, and deduplication.
CRM connection
Connect accepted and qualified lead states to appropriate server-side events without sending free text or prohibited personal data.
Ecommerce measurement
Map confirmed orders or other eligible outcomes to stable event IDs, values, currencies, products, and retry-safe server calls.
Operational automation
Reduce manual repetition with approved templates, paused drafts, read-back checks, alerts, and review gates—not autonomous spending.
Credentials and access
Three credential types. Three different jobs.
A general OpenAI Platform key does not provide advertising-account access. We document each secret, its owner, its scope, where it is stored, who can rotate it, and how it is removed at offboarding.
Advertiser API key
Ad-account-scoped credential for supported campaign, conversion setup, and reporting operations. Kept server-side.
Conversions API key
Separate server credential for sending conversion events to the measurement endpoint. Never placed in browser code.
General model API key
Credential for general OpenAI model workflows. It is not advertising access and is scoped as a separate project if required.
Engineering controls
Safe enough to operate, simple enough to maintain.
The exact control set is agreed against risk, but these are baseline expectations for a production integration.
Secrets
Server-side storage, least privilege, environment separation, rotation ownership, and no credentials in source, browser code, screenshots, analytics, or logs.
Requests
Input validation, explicit allowlists, timeouts, suitable retries, idempotency keys for supported create operations, and duplicate-event prevention.
Change control
Paused resource creation where possible, preview and policy review, approval gates, read-back verification, and a reversible activation plan.
Observability
Redacted structured logs, request and resource references, delivery/error categories, alert thresholds, and retention appropriate to the job.
Data protection
Data minimisation, consent-aware browser events, lawful handling, prohibited-data controls, hashing/normalisation where required, and deletion rules.
Ownership
Client-controlled account and resources, documented dependencies, runbooks, source handover, and explicit offboarding.
Implementation process
A tested connection, not a slide with arrows.
01
Define
Confirm the business action, system boundary, data owner, account, success condition, and what must never be sent.
02
Access
Verify account and feature access, establish scoped credentials, and document rotation and offboarding.
03
Build
Implement the smallest maintainable workflow with validation, idempotency, redaction, and clear failure states.
04
Test
Use validation modes, paused resources, test events, read-back checks, duplicate tests, and failure simulations where supported.
05
Release
Approve scope, deploy through a controlled process, monitor the first live flow, and retain a rollback or pause path.
06
Operate
Review alerts, data quality, API changes, access, costs, performance, and the continuing business need.
Integration questions
Scope before code.
What access do you need?
It depends on the workflow. At minimum we confirm a client-owned advertiser account, the required role or API access, feature enablement, a secure place for scoped credentials, and access to the client system being connected. We do not ask for a general account password.
Can you build a custom ads dashboard?
This service covers focused integrations and reporting workflows. A multi-tenant advertising SaaS, billing platform, or custom client portal is a separate product project and is not included without explicit scope and approval.
How do you prevent duplicate conversions?
Where the browser Pixel and server-side Conversions API report the same action, the implementation uses the same event name and stable event ID so the platform can deduplicate. Server retries reuse the same event ID.
Does an API key mean every feature is available?
No. Account access, review state, feature gates, advertiser eligibility, campaign mode, market, and policy can all affect what is available. We test the real account and record the result.
Will you activate spending?
Not from website deployment or a technical discovery alone. Campaign creation and spending activation require an explicitly approved campaign scope, account authority, budget, review, and launch instruction.
Connect the operation to a decision that matters.
Tell us the workflow, account state, systems involved, and outcome you need to measure. We will define the safest useful scope.
